Warriors and weapons

Every free man in Viking society was a warrior and his equipment reflected his status. From the simple spear that every man carried to stunningly crafted swords, the pinnacle of the weapon-smith’s art, Vikings were buried with their weapons to aid them in the afterlife. Archaeology has uncovered a huge range of weaponry from the Viking age; beautiful and deadly swords, the fearsome Danish axe, bows, and the ubiquitous spear, Odin’s weapon of choice.

Here some interesting movie about viking swords.
